We wish to acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of this region. We believe that one must reflect back on 60,000 years and more of Indigenous culture in this ancient country known as "Australia". While we mark our 4 seasons rigidly by calendar, the Noongar people recognised 6 seasons. Now, we have moved from Makura with the winter storms, to Djilba, with many clear but cold days. So, a life lived by observation, and not by a date makes so much more sense. We wish to also extend our acknowledgement to other traditional custodians of the lands that our guests will travel to. We wish to acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and contribution they make to their communities and regions. We hope that we can find a way to work with you to bring guests to share your history and culture in a mutually beneficial and sustainable way.
