If you are looking for a unique volunteering opportunity close to Phnom Penh then you will love spending time at PHKA Doung Handicrafts located in the province of Kampong Chhnang.

Approximately 90 minutes from the city, join Di Vichra and her extended family on their delightful property where they make virgin coconut oil along with some other  beautiful coconut based products.

A new production facility is under construction and a magical garden is been created based on permaculture principles as they prepare to welcome passing tourists.

You will stay with the host family in one of two bedrooms available on a twin shared basis and the property is in a rural setting with many mango, coconut and banana trees already planted.

The focus for volunteers will be in the gardens helping to plant, weed and in the dry season hand water. You will also learn the processes to make virgin coconut oil and can try your hand at making stunning bowls from the coconut shells. they also need ongoing help with their marketing and welcome anyone who can also help teaching social media skills.

Enjoy Khmer food cooked lovingly by your host family and vegetarian and vegan food can be provided.
